Corner of solitude

Late last month I made a list of new year’s resolutions and one of them was to become a fully licensed electrician. I also made a list of the little steps I need to achieve this. Well tomorrow night I will be making the first step hopefully for the last time. I will be enrolling for the capstone course. I want to pass it so badly, so I can get the monkey (I can hear it laughing at me and teasing me calling me a failure) off my back.

That’s right folks, this monkey has been haunting me since I failed last year, now it’s the new year I have another chance to start over again. Hopefully this time around, Steve (a monkey of a different kind) will take it easy not only on the class but on me in particular. Steve whose monkey form is that of a TAFE teacher has not only been haunting me but also tormenting me since the start of my apprenticeship. I thought I had seen the last of him when I finished my regular apprenticeship electrical course, but no he also had to do the night capstone classes as well, the BASTARD! I pity the fools who’ll be in his future classes.

What to do with waydh.net, waydh.com and farkinggreat.com? So I still own these domain, and I don’t know what to do with them. They are currently not being used. My main one farkinggreat.com is the domain I originally had and still have. Whatareyoudoinghere.net has long gone and expired, it was going to be my main vehicle and I was going to purchase every other waydh titled domains. Thats why I still have waydh.net and waydh.com which I’m tempted to just let them expire, because it’s just a waste of money and bandwidth. And my current vehicle is this blog, the Corner of Solitude.

I have several options;

1. Let them expire and be done with it
2. Sell them to domain fetishist, yes folks stranger things are afoot in this world of ours.
3. Donate them to poor sods in third world countries like Ethiopia who wants to give away their dead rich relative’s money away
4. Or give them as a present to one of my elderly 90 year old relatives who probably has never seen the internet let alone know what a domain is. And who’s idea of technological advancement is the abacus.

I recently installed the web browser Safari, and I’m telling you this thing is gorgeous, I’m loving it! I thought Firefox was good but this thing is way better. Everything about it is sleek, the pages are crisp to view, even the load times are faster. I rate it above the latest IE and Firefox browsers.

As I’ve probably mentioned before, I get to work by train every morning. Most of the time the trains are empty for most of the way except for me and a couple of other regular people. Now this is going to sound creepy but I was thinking about stalking (shock horror!) this chick who also gets on the same carriage as me on the train every morning. I am an habitual person, and as a creature of habit I always get on the same carriage and sit on the same seat everytime I go to work. So does the chick, she has sat right in front of me, ever since I started going to work at my current job.

She isn’t a regular looking dudette either, she’s one of those people who likes to dress snappy, she actually looks pretty hot. Over the years we’ve never exchanged a word with each other, so I don’t know anything about her. I don’t know whether she is going to work or coming home, so I thought maybe one day I’ll follow her to wherever she is going to. Eventually I’ll turn into a stalker…just kidding.
