cornerofsolitude Death to Fritzl

Posted in Fag of the week, Faith and God, Hate of the day on April 30th, 2008 by FKG

I’m not talking about starting another world war with the germans, I’m talking about the austrian piece of shit who imprisoned his own daughter as his own personal sex slave. It is fucking worms like him that makes me ashamed of my own humanity.

I’m reluctant to say I hate him, because even though it’s a pretty strong word I don’t think it’s strong enough to describe what I am feeling towards him at the moment.

When I read it in the newspaper I felt revolted, angry and wished that I was God and could deal out some divine wrath. I know that wishing death on other people is wrong, and that it is not my place to judge, but I truly feel that if I had the power of life and death I would have no qaulms on sending vile fags like Josef Fritzl to burn in hell.

And if there is no hell, then death would be too good a sentence even for people like him. He should be kept alive and tortured, to suffer a thousand times the suffering of those innocents he has inflicted.

cornerofsolitude Take a walk in my shoes pal

As a kid I once asked what the definition of news was, not that I didn’t already know what it meant. To me it was war and terror, poverty and death, politicians and criminals, yuppies and puppies.

Maybe what I really wanted to know, like so many other people my age, was why news was called “news” and why it wasn’t called “olds” instead. If news was going to be defined as recent events or developments that have already happened then olds would be a more appropriate word, or so I thought. I found I was too naive and I was probably a hundred years too young to understand the concept. Eventually someone came up with a definition slash reason that I was finally happy with. I was told that news was the “new information” about the recent events or developments not the recent events or developments itself which were in the past like I had stated, and would be called history instead. The reason why it’s news was because people back in the old days were too lazy to say “new information” so they used an aussie concept, they shortened it down and hence called it “news”. I thought to myself, now that I’ve got my head around this I’m probably not a hundred years too young to understand the concept after all.

My next query was why people were facinated by these so called new information or news? I too as I grew a little older was drawn to it. After all what’s so good about war and terror, poverty and death, politicians and criminals, yuppies and puppies?

Well maybe there is something to be said about that last one, after all puppies are cute. Except when they chase after you when you’re trying to get away from them, at first you make a brisk walk, but then you have to make a run for it, only to find that the little terrors are keeping up with you. That’s why I feel sorry for postmen terrorised by guard dogs and small children who have never encountered a dog before.

I regard news as gloomy subjects, except when they’re happy ones such as puppies as previously mentioned. One theory is that there is a masochistic aspect to our soul in each and everyone of us. We like to hear gloom and doom, and let’s face it, if news was pizza hut, the only pizza flavour that would get delivered to us is, you guessed it, gloom and doom. News in papers, news on the internet and especially news on televisions are mostly filled with criminals, drugged up celebrities, dying people from third world countries and death in war. The song Horror movie by the legendary classic rock band the Skyhooks is as relevant today as it was during the seventies, when the horrors of war was first aired on television, bringing it right into people’s family living rooms. That’s why the only thing that I’d recommend watching on the news that doesn’t involve a conflict is the weather, at least the sheilas doing the weather are easy on the eyes.

Fortunately I don’t subscribe to this everyone is a masochist school of thought. My theory is, that while none of us like to hear or see all the wrongs in the world, we want to experience it. Not because we like and enjoy it, but because we empathize and want to steel ourselves. Steel ourselves for the worse, we want to know what other unfortunates feel just in case one day we are put in the same situations. News is like someone (maybe God) tapping you on the shoulder and saying “take a walk in my shoes pal and tell your story walking.”

Then again I could be wrong about the whole news thing. Being a hundred years too young to understand could be true after all.

cornerofsolitude Have a merry christmas and a happy new year

Posted in Faith and God, Ramble on on December 21st, 2007 by FKG

You know what folks? I dread this time of the year, not because I have to go to my auntie’s at Christmas for a family reunion and pretend to everyone that I’m happy to see them again, or have to go out on new years eve with a bunch of friends, who are all going to end up drunk and feel very sorry for themselves the next day. No folks, it is because at about this time of the year I have this nagging feeling that the end of our civilization as we know it, is imminent.

If you think I have joined a cult who are into shit like the end of the world is nigh kinda stuff then you are wrong. Oh all right, I am into the end of the world is nigh stuff, you got me…But I’m not in a cult. I am simply saying that the culture of today, predominantly western culture, is too decadent which thrives on personal gains, greed and corruption and may become the downfall of society and ultimately the world’s civilization. And christmas and new years is one example of that decadence. Society is such that there is more chance of wiping out the world at the hands of mankind than from a natural disaster. Or a natural disaster as a result of mankind. At the risk of sounding like an arrogant bastard I won’t make this post into another one of my “christian point of view” sermons. I’ll just stop it at that. And…oh yeah happy holidays.

cornerofsolitude Bruce Luke almighty

After going to church this morning we went to the Cronulla beach cafe, like any bourgeoisie laté swilling capitalist bastard wannabes would do, so that Lauren could get her fix of caffeine. As I was drinking my milk (I don’t drink coffee or tea) a thought occured to me, wouldn’t it be great if God gave me permission and the powers to do what I want? A divine grace of sort granted to me. Just like in that Jim Carey movie Bruce almighty.

Not to fix up any of the social wrongs of our world and society, but to do what I want selfishly. For example, convince Lauren into a threesome with me and another hot chick of her choice. Because really thats what any red blooded male would think of doing, that is to get into the pants of two sheilas at the same time.

But then I got to thinking, God has already provided not just me but everyone with that power and that’s called “choice”. We as humans have been gifted with free will, we can choose to be selfish or unselfish, for example I could selfishly convince her by holding a gun to her head or just talk to her about it and hope she likes the idea and unselfishly let her make the decision. It’s what makes us humans.

But it comes at a price, because it’s our choices we must also choose wether to be with God or not to be with God as well, and because we have this choice that price is death. But the price is twofold, depending on your choice you could be in a desolate place devoid of the presence of God called hell or be in the presence of the “glory” of God called heaven.

So I opted to just talk and tell her about my fantasy. Lo & behold like a gift from God she said “How about that babe over there bending over with the over sized rack?” Actually that didn’t happen, what really happened was I got a smack in the face and she said “Go to hell you pervert!” And that made my day, because I now know that she only wants to share the joys in bed with me and only me, that’s when I smiled and thought “all is right with the world.”
